The Rigs

The Rigs

American duo The Rigs offered their new single “When We Were Young”, on December 16th.

Produced by Michael “SMIDI” Smith (Coldplay, OneRepublic, Paramore…), the record illustrates the feeling of being young, free and loved.

“In the midst of wrestling with and writing about an often dark and chaotic world, we spent a moment in the sweetness and simplicity of childhood nostalgia. Felt like we could use it”, reveals the band.

With the support of soulful vocalist DeAnte Tyree Duckett and the help of a choir, the duo composes an effective and powerful atmospheric record that showcases stunning vocal harmonies and haunting melodies.

The music video captures images from two children growing up and experiencing life. By creating nostalgic visuals, the two artists connect with the viewers and take us back to our own happy childhood memories.

“When We Were Young” is the second single off their new album World On Fire, released on November 17th.

The two songwriters push the boundaries of the alternative-rock music landscape through their 8 track album World On Fire, which combines elements of electronic, dream pop and alternative-rock music.
